Narrative
BONHAM, TX – A three-vehicle collision involving a semi truck killed two people and injured two others Thursday in Fannin County.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of TX-121, or Airport Rd West, and FM-898. This is on the northwest side of Bonham.
Police say that a southbound Jeep and an eastbound Nissan collided when the driver of the latter vehicle failed to heed a stop sign. This initial collision pushed the Jeep onto the northbound side of TX-121, at which point it was struck by an 18-wheeler.
Authorities declared two people deceased at the scene. Their names have not yet been released to the public.
Medics airlifted two others to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
